About Marcelo Ghersi, M.D.
South Florida plastic surgeon Marcelo Ghersi is a board certified plastic surgeon by the American Board of plastic surgery and a graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Sciences degree and Magna Cum Laude Honors. He then attended the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he obtained his medical doctorate degree. Dr. Ghersi later returned to South Florida to pursue post-graduate training. After working as a general surgery resident for Mount Sinai Medical Center, he joined the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston, where he successfully completed a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency.
Throughout his training, Dr. Ghersi published numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented his works at major national meetings. He also participates annually as a volunteer for internationally-based plastic surgery missions. More recently, Dr. Ghersi has become an adjuct faculty member of the Cleveland Clinic Florida Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in addition to being an active member of several professional organizations.
Dr. Ghersi practices all disciplines of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery in Miami, with an emphasis on cosmetic rejuvenation. He has joined the well-established practice of Coral Gables Cosmetic Center to offer his professional skills in cosmetic surgery.
